XBOX 360 game rooms open at Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children

Produced by Jim Albritton | Bruce Hoffman, a representative from Microsoft, along with Dr. Owen Evans, chairman of pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, cut a ribbon opening two Microsoft Xbox 360 game rooms at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children.

Last fall, Batson Hospital took part in the six-week Children's Miracle Network Xbox 360 Gameroom Giveaway Promotion. Three of the 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals nationwide that garnered the most votes online won a $10,000 gameroom makeover.

Due to overwhelming community support, Batson Hospital finished third behind Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan and the University of Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. These three hospitals received more votes than children's hospitals in the nation's largest metropolitan areas.
