"That's All, Brother," the C-47 which led the D-Day invasion, carrying paratroopers from the 101st and 82nd Airborne divisions, returns to the skies of Normandy in June 2019 for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Brunel’s London is a boat trip, a river walk and a journey into the heart of London. A little man with a big hat and cigar, Brunel was England’s foremost engineer. He built railways, steam locomotives, bridges, ships, dock systems, tunnels and made the today’s world cities possible. Brunel’s London is one of London Walks daily tours, departing from Embankment Tube Station at 10:30 a.m. and ending in Rotherhithe at the The Mayflower, the oldest pub on the River Thames.

Rooster's, a mainstay in Fondren for 16 years, celebrates its 35th anniversary in metro Jackson. The popular burger and chicken restaurant opened on Roach Street in downtown Jackson in 1984, the year Wendy's launched its "Where's the Beef" commercials. A battle with early on-set dementia and new found artistic expression are the latest chapters in the life-long love story of Tommy and Cissy Prewitt, a physician and his artist wife. Their story was the focus of a “A Night with Beautiful Minds,” a celebration of visual, culinary and musical arts, that benefited Alzheimer’s and dementia research at The MIND Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
