Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:33PM The Torrey Pines Gliderport is a city-owned private-use glider airport located 11 miles northwest of the San Diego CBD on the Pacific coast. It was established as a soaring site in 1930 and is the home to hang gliding, paragliding, radio-controlled model sailplanes, and full-scale man-carrying sailplanes.
